Barcelona to Host First Game at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years since relocating so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a public practice at the Camp Nou in early November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side in December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
