The rising star boasts considerable social media audience
The young golfer will have multiple high-profile cheerleaders when she starts her LPGA debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is connected to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, operates numerous courses worldwide and regularly competes against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she stated.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He essentially suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with running the country, making him rather occupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has competed in just three tournaments this year and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
But she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He is the top athlete globally," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive human being. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, and go with the flow."
She'll challenge some of top competitors in professional golf at the Annika, such as world number two Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Officials mentioned that Kai's presence brings golf to new audiences, particularly with the next generation.
The social media influencer has millions of followers and just introduced a personal apparel and wellness brand.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
